Sales were up for Swedish retailer H&M in Romania between December 2013 and August 2014, to some EUR 94 million. This reflected an increase of 39% year-on-year, while the growth reported in local currency, was of 35%. The increase was even higher during summer, June to August – 50%, to some EUR 34 million.

H&M opened seven new stores in Romania since the beginning of the year, and reached a network of 35 units, it announced.

The group posted revenues of some EUR 13 billion in the first nine months – December to August -, up 18%, while profit after tax was of EUR 575 million. The retail runs 2,600 stores on 47 markets.
