Survey shows liberals likely to win Romanian parliamentary elections with record score
If Romania organized parliamentary elections during this period, the National Liberal Party PNL would win with a record score of 47%, according to a recent CSOP research, cited by local Digi24. The figures come after former PNL president Klaus Iohannis won the Presidential elections in the country in late 2014.
This score is higher than the results in October 2014, when the party was rated at 30%, and even better compared to the results of the CSOP research in November last year - 46%.
The alliance between the Social Democratic Party PSD- the Conservative Party PC- and the National Union for Romania's Progress UNPR would come second with 34% of the votes, followed by the Magyar Democratic Union UDMR with 6%, the Great Romania Party PRM and the Popular Movement Party PMP with 3% each and the People's Party Dan Diaconescu PPDD with 2%.
The survey was conducted between December 13 and December 18 on a sample of over 1,000 people.
