Swedish band Europe to share stage with Motorhead, Mötley Crüe, Megadeth at Romanian music festival

Swedish rock band Europe are the latest rock outfit announced for the Bucharest OST Fest, which will be organized at Romexpo between June 15 and 17 this year. They join English rock stalwarts Motorhead and American metal merchants Mötley Crüe and Megadeth.

The band’s story began back in 1979, when vocalist Joey Tempest, guitarist John Norum and drummer Tony Renin formed 'Force' in Upplands Väsby, Sweden. Later, the band changed their name to Europe and gained worldwide fame in 1986 with their single ‘The Final Countdown’ and an album of the same name . The album sold over three million copies in the US.

Europe have released eight studio albums, three live albums, three compilations and seventeen videos. Their latest album ‘Bag of Bones’ is set to be launched in March this year.  Read more about the band here.

Tickets for the music festival in Romania cost between RON 90 and RON 500. The 3-day tickets are priced between RON 150 and RON 800 and can be purchased from Biletoo store in Unirea Shopping Center, Adevarul and Eminescu bookstores, Flanco, Victoria, and Muzica stores, Sala Palatului, Palatul National al Copiilor, and Unirii 1 metro station, or online from www.biletoo.ro, www.blt.ro and www.myticket.ro.
