Swedish pop band Roxette's gig in Cluj-Napoca last night was a big hit for the 22,000 fans present, who had the opportunity to listen to hit after hit at Cluj Arena.
Grimus and Les Elephanes Bizares were the supporting acts and the audience greeted Roxette with loud applause and cheers when they took to the stage. Roxette opened with "Dressed for Success" and "Sleeping in My Car".
The night will surely be an unforgettable moment for both fans and the band, who posted many clips, photos and messages of gratitude on their official Facebook page after the show. The band seem to be enjoying their time in Romania and according to local media reports they have been on sightseeing tour to Sibiu and its surroundings.
Roxette formed at the beginning of the 80s and became one of the best known pop bands of the 80s and the 90s. The band shifted its style in the new millennium to keep up with the changing pop scene. Band member Marie Fredriksson was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2002 and the band stopped playing. Thankfully, Fredriksson eventually recovered and the band reunited in 2009.
