Swedish fashion retailer H&M ups sales in Romania by half
Swedish fashion retailer H&M increased its sales in Romania by 50% in the six months between December last year and May this year, compared to the same period of the previous financial year. The sales totaled almost EUR 90 million.
The company opened three stores in Romania between March and May, reaching a network of 41 units. H&M also opened online stores in eight new markets, including Romania, in the same period.
At group level, the sales went up by 22% in the six months ended in May 2015, reaching EUR 10.85 billion. Its post-tax profit grew by 19% to EUR 1.1 billion.
