Swiss luxury writing instruments brand opens first shop in Romania with EUR 100,000

Caran d’Ache, the Swiss brand of luxury writing instruments, has launched its first store in Romania on December 4, following total investments of EUR 100,000.

Located on Calea Victoriei in Bucharest, the store sells a wide range of products, such as luxury writing instruments, office line instruments, fine artist products, but also lighters and a variety of  leather products such as wallets and briefcases.

The store also hosts a unique writing instrument, namely Caelograph, available for the price of RON 18,859 (or some EUR 4,220). The pen’s surface features 51 constellations and 353 stars observable from the Northern hemisphere.

Established in 1915, Caran d’Ache has explored a wide range of writing instruments. All products are designed, developed and manufactured in Geneva using expensive materials, such as platinum, gold and silver.

Founded as Fabrique Genevoise des Crayons in 1915, the company adopted its current name in 1924, when was taken over by Arnold Schweitzer.
