Swiss Roche’s sales up 2% in the first 9 months of this year
The Swiss pharmaceutical group Roche posted global sales of about 31.5 billion Swiss francs in the first nine months of this year, up 2 percent, according to the company. “The results recoded by the Roche' sales are in line with our expectations and, therefore, we are on track to meet the full year targets,” said Severin Schwan, CEO Roche Group.
The group's Pharmaceuticals Division' sales also increased by 1 percent in first 9 months of 2011, excluding Tamiflu, to 24.4 billion Swiss francs, while the Diagnostics Division posted an advance of 6 percent at constant exchange rate, to 7.1 billion Swiss francs.
At the end of 2010 Roche reported sales totaling 47.5 billion Swiss francs.
