Take your pick: three traditional products fairs during the week-end
Learning about Romania through food and old traditions could be a good way to spend some of your week-end, as three events held in Bucharest will give you the opportunity to do so.
You will be able to feel the charm and learn about the old boyar households on Saturday and Sunday at the Agricultural Academy in Bucharest, where the National Ecologic Fair will take place.
Local producers, some of which coming from the Northern monasteries, will sell comfiture made of roses, green nuts, all made based on recipes learned from the elder. Traditional products from all areas of Romania will also be on sale, according to Media-link-business, organizers of this event. Besides food, Romanian individual producers will sell traditional medicine and hand made soap.
Another similar event will take place at the Romanian Peasant's Museum between August 20 – 22. The event will feature Romanian products, including the internationally recognized Topoloveni jam. Wooden products, pottery and textiles will also be on sale at the fair.
A third such event will take place at Baneasa Shopping City. The fair for a healthier living will bring together producers of Romanian traditional products.
