Romanian state-owned airline appoints former BMW dealer as new GM
State-airline Tarom’s Board of Directors appointed yesterday Werner Wolf, former head of the BMW Timisoara-Arad car dealership, as the new general manager.
Wolf is the fourth person appointed as Tarom general manager in less than three months.
Daniela Dragne, the former Tarom interim general manager, left the office on November 16 due to personal reasons. Her one-month term had been extended until the end of this year, after expiring in the beginning of November.
Florin Susanu, the former interim director of Tarom, announced in September that he was giving up his mandate in order to return to the cockpit. He was appointed after Eugen Davidoiu resigned at the end of August.
Tarom estimates losses of RON 206.8 million (EUR 44.5 million) for this year. The Transport Ministry is trying to come up with new solutions to keep the company afloat.
