Romanian state airline wants massive IT system reshuffle
Romanian state-owned airline Tarom has started open bids for developing a new client relationship interface.
After almost 10 years, the company is investing massively in IT, hoping to result in faster bookings, easier and faster access to frequent destination info, among other things, local News.ro reported.
“We have high expectations from such a system, which we are sure will reinvent the way Tarom manages its resources, assets and time,” said Werner Wolff, general manager of Tarom.
The company wants to catch up on the IT front by also integrating a new, efficient call center, and implementing passenger online accounts.
Tarom has been posting yearly losses since 2008. In 2016, it posted a EUR 11.1 million loss.
Romanian airline Tarom plans EUR 94 mln investments this year
