Romania’s Tax Agency ANAF has completed the evaluation of several buildings owned by Romanian businessman Dan Voiculescu, which it plans to sell via public auctions.

The assets include the headquarters of the TV stations Antena 1 and Antena 3, as well as the headquarters of the Intact and Grivco groups. ANAF will put them up for sale for a starting price of EUR 15 million, reports local Profit.ro.

Voiculescu, once an influential businessman and politician, is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence after the Romanian courts found him guilty of influence peddling and money laundering in a controversial privatization. The court ruled that he damaged the state with some EUR 60 million following the illegal privatization of the Food Research Institute in Bucharest and ANAF is currently trying to recover the damage by selling Voiculescu’s assets.
