Telecom operator will provide electricity to the Romanian public television

Telecom operator RCS&RDS has won the tender organized by the Romanian public television SRTv for electricity supply. The contract is worth almost EUR 500,000, without VAT.

The contract has been signed for one year and provides the delivery of 6,842 MWh of electricity to the television’s central headquarters in Bucharest, as well as 52,5 MWh to the territorial units in Targu Mures, Cluj, Iasi, Craiova, and three additional locations, reports local Profit.ro.

Several companies took part in the bid, including Electrica, Industrial Energy, Elsaco, and Enel Energie Muntenia.

RCS&RDS, which mainly operates in the telecom sector, has won over 30 contracts for the supply of energy since the beginning of the year. Its customers include the National Archives, Ministry of Defense, Salaj Police Inspectorate, and the National Authority for Communications ANCOM.

Last year, the operator won over 30 contracts for the supply of elactricity. Its portfolio included the Romanian National Bank, the cities Dolhasca, Jimbolia, and Sfantu Gheorghe, and the Alexandru Ioan Cuza Police Academy.
