Televoice Group estimates tablets sales of 30,000 this year in Romania
Romanian producer Televoice Group estimates that will it sell 30,000 tablets this year in Romania, almost three times than the volume sold last year. The company sold 11,000 tablets in 2011 and about 12,000 during the first half of this year, said the company president, Liviu Nistoran.
“At the level of the market, tablets sales have grown every year, almost exponentially. I anticipate that in total on local market 150-160,000 units will be sold this year,” said Nistoran.
Televoice will start on Thursday to sell Evotab Fun, a 7-inch tablet PC with integrated GPS at a price of RON 649, which includes updating the map of Romania in the next two years. The Wi-Fi tablet has a weight of 330 grams.
"I estimate that we will sell by the end of the year over 14,000 Evotab Fun units, which include the sales for the cheap version of the tablet, without GPS, that will be launched in autumm at a price lower than RON 100,” Nistoran explained.
Televoice launched the IT & C brand Evolio in 2007. Under this brand the company sells GPS products, netbooks, fixed and mobile communication products, multimedia products and accessories.
