Tenaris inaugurates new finishing line within USD 62 mln investment in Romania
Tenaris, a supplier of tubes and related services, has recently inaugurated a new finishing line for oil and gas equipment in Romania. The new line is part of a USD 62 million investment in its plant in Zalau, Romania.
Tenaris’ new line will produce premium connections used by oil and gas companies in challenging environments, such as offshore, deep water, wells with high temperatures and pressure.
With the new line in Zalau, the company increases its capability to serve customers in Europe Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and the Caspian Sea region.
So far, 66 people have been hired and trained for positions in the new production facility.
The recent opening comes one year after the start-up of a finishing line for boiler tubes up to 26 meters long, and the acquisition of a sucker rods facility in Campina, Romania.
Since 2005, Tenaris invested over USD 300 million in its Romanian operations.
