The famous Color Run – also known as the Happiest 5k on the planet or the race where runners end up plastered in colored powder head to toes, will be organized for the first time in Romania this year.

Scheduled for April 26 in Bucharest, and July 12 for Cluj – Napoca, the five kilometer race will have runners – all dressed in white at the start of the race – finish the track with their clothes fully painted with colored powder. This five-kilometer, un-timed race is all about dousing runners from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer.

The race will take place in the Tineretului Park, starting 16,00 on Saturday, April 26. After the race, an after party - this too themed on colors – will take place.

The entry tax for the race is RON 95; online registration was closed on April 20, but registration can also be done until April 25 at the Promenada Mall (300 more place available) on Wednesday, April 23, between 17,00 and 21,00, on Thursday, April 24, between 12,00 and 21,00, and on Friday, April 25, between 12,00 and 21,00. To receive the running kit, the same schedule and location applies. Foreigners and participants from other cities can pick up their kits on Saturday too, between 15,00 and 16,30. The actual race starts at 18,00.

The first Color Run event was organized in 2012 as an event to promote healthiness and happiness by bringing the community together. The event has ever since tripled its growth, hosting more than 170 events in over 30 countries in 2013.
