The first dinosaur park opens in Romania in June
An amusement park with life-size dinosaurs will open in June in the medieval city of Rasnov, close to Brasov, in central Romania. This will be the largest dinosaur-themed park in South-Eastern Europe, according to its representatives.
Dino Park covers 1.4 hectares of woods and hosts 45 live-size dinosaurs. Its location is near the road that goes up to the Rasnov medieval fortress, the town’s main tourist attraction.
The dinosaurs are 8 to 24 meters long and 2 to 20 meters high and have been made out of fiberglass. The Romanian investors who organized this park worked with German experts to make sure it is authentic.
Besides the dinosaurs, the park also has children playgrounds, food court and other leisure facilities.
Romanian company HCL Sfantu Gheorghe built the park, which was financed with EUR 4.5 million EU funds.
Dino Park officially opens on Friday, June 12, the same day the highly-anticipated Jurassic World movie hits the big screens.
