New edition of Dobrogea mountain bike competition scheduled for August in Romania's Badabag

The second edition of the mountain bike competition Badabag XC 2012 will take place in the city Badabag, Romania, on August 11, 2012. The competition is open to both amateurs and elite athletes from clubs, having a wide range of categories of participants: amateur-male - 14-19 years, 20-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50 + years, amateur-female - 14-29 years, 29 + years, elite and children.

The race starts near the ruins of a Roman fortress and runs along a forest road. The technical skills of the cyclists will be challenged by sections of steep ascents and descents, and the flat earth and gravel.

Competitors will race around 17 km laps, and depending on the category will complete a different number of circuits; elite - 3 laps, amateur men - 2 laps, amateur women - 1 lap. Children participating will have a special route, adapted to their age.

For each group and age group the first three to cross the finish line prizes: first place –RON 350, second place –RON 250, third – RON 150 . In addition, there will be a raffle a new bike as the top prize.

At the end of the event, organizers of Triton Sport will invite all competitors and collaborators to a hearty lunch inside Babadag camp .
