Three young Romanians have developed an app that allows users to create private photo albums and share them with friends.

LifeBox, the app founded by Ovidiu Naclad, Radu Oprea and Dragos Bardac, was accepted in June last year in the MVP Academy pre-acceleration programme for technology start-ups.

The Lifebox.mobi website was launched late last year. 28,000 photos have already been shared between some 5,000 users, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

According to co-founder Radu Oprea, the users are very different, with ages between 14 and 72. Most of them are from UK, Taiwan and the US.

Lifebox.mobi allows users to make a photo album and then share the link with a friend, or make it public for everybody to see it.  It works on phones, tablets or laptops and is available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry.
