Brimstone, a new thriller starring Kit Harington – the actor who played the role of Jon Snow in the television series Game of Thrones, will be partially shot in Romania. Some of the film’s scenes will also be shot in Spain and Germany.

The film also stars Dakota Fanning, Guy Pearce and Carice van Houten. Fanning plays the role of Liz, a heroine on the run from her past and chased by Pearce’s character, the diabolical Preacher, reports Variety.com.

Paul Anderson, known from Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Jack Roth and Carla Juri also joined the cast recently. The film is written and directed by Martin Koolhoven.

Producers describe Brimstone as “a vivid and powerful epic of one woman’s defiant resistance.” The thriller is being shot by cinematographer Rogier Stoffers and edited by Job ter Burg.
