Tickets for Ed Sheeran concert in Bucharest sell in record time
About 25,000 tickets to Ed Sheeran’s concert in Bucharest in July next year sold in just a couple of hours, the organizers announced.
In the first hour alone, about 17,000 tickets were sold, despite restrictions imposed by the British singer’s managers, namely limiting the number of tickets sold to four for each buyer and printing the spectators’ names on the tickets, local Mediafax reported. Moreover, the tickets were sold exclusively online, according to local InfoMusic.
Ed Sheeran, one of the most popular international singers of the moment, will have a concert at Bucharest’s National Arena on July 3.
The stadium has a capacity of 55,600 seats at football matches and the audience record was set at a football match between Romania and the Netherlands, in 2012, when 53,329 spectators were at the arena. The highest attendance at a music concert was at the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in August 2012 – 47,000 spectators.
