Tire company Goodyear Dunlop promotes two Romanians to top regional positions
Romanian Goodyear Dunlop's Alina Mihaescu and Daniel Matei were recently promoted to key regional positions within the company. Alina Mihaescu was appointed Commercial Marketing Manager Central and South-Eastern Europe (CSEE) starting from January of this year and Daniel Matei is now the Trade Marketing & Customer Training Manager for CSEE.
Alina Mihaescu (in picture) will be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing marketing strategies for the commercial segment in 14 countries in the Central and South-Eastern Europe region. Mihaescu previously held the Marketing Manager for Romania and Bulgaria position with the company for 12 years.
In his new position, Daniel Matei will lead the operations preparing and informing consumers and authorized distributors in the 14 countries of the Central and South-East Europe. Matei, born in Targu Mures, North-Central Romania, joined Goodyear in May 2003 as an area representative.
Frank Seiberling founded Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company with a factory in Akron, Ohio, USA in 1898. The company was named after vulcanized rubber inventor Charles Goodyear, although he had no links with the Goodyear company beyond his name. Goodyear is now one the major global producers and suppliers of rubber vehicle tires.
