Local insurers Allianz Tiriac, Astra Asigurari and Omniasig VIG recorded the highest revenues from gross written premiums in the first quarter of the year. They kept the first three positions among local insurance companies.

Allianz Tiriac recorded gross written premiums of EUR 61.36 million, compared to EUR 57.18 million in the first three months of 2014. It had a 12.2% market share, reports local Agerpres.

Astra Asigurari recorded gross written premiums of EUR 55.94 million and a market share of 11.05%. Omniasig VIG made EUR 53.49 million and has a 10.57% market share.

Euroins came next, with gross written premiums of EUR 41.97 million and a 8.29% market share, followed by Groupama, with EUR 41.27 million and a 8.15% market share.

The first 10 local insurers underwrote gross premiums of EUR 403.55 million in the first quarter of 2015.
