The total freight traffic through Romania’s sea ports amounted to 49.1 million tons in the first ten months of this year, up 2.7% compared to the same period last year, according to the "Maritime Ports Administration" National Company.

Some 17.7 million tons are exported goods, 15.7 million tons are imported goods, 10.9 million tons are transited items, and 4.7 million tons - cabotage.

The sea traffic reached 38.16 million tons up from 36.92 million tons in the first ten months of 2015. The river traffic totaled 10.94 million tons compared to 10.89 million tons last year.
