Tourism agency owner: Dracula can sell Romania as a tourism destination, nobody knows our national poet
The owner of a tourism agency in Romania says the Dracula vampire is known everywhere in the world and Romania should use it, whereas Romania’s national poet Mihai Eminescu is not known anywhere, so it cannot sell the country as a tourism destination.
“In tourism, Romania can sell itself with either something well known as a brand, or with something unique. Dracula ticks both boxes,” said Alin Burcea, the owner of Paralela 45 tourism agency, quoted by Mediafax.
Burcea attends the international tourism fair in London this week, and wants to launch a Dracula circuit, together with a British agency, and promote it in UK, as well as US, Asia and the Arab countries.
