Romanian investor Dragos Anastasiu, the owner of the tourism group Eurolines, has bought a hotel near the medieval city of Sighisoara, the Valea Verde resort in Cund.

Anastasiu plans to invest several million euros in the area, and wants to continue investing in other hotel projects, reports local Profit.ro.

Last year the investor bought 50% of the Green Village complex in the Danube Delta and took over its management.

In the Valea Verde (Green Valley) resort, Anastasiu plans to develop an eco-chalet with 30 rooms, spa, and restaurant. The project requires an investment of EUR 2-3 million.

The investor also wants to develop in the area a cooking school. He relies on European funds for all these investments.

The resort Valea Verde is located 30 kilometers from Sighisoara and 28 km from Targu Mures. German chef Jonas Schaefer and his wife Ulrike Schaefer founded this complex ten years ago, when they decided to move and settle in Romania. The resort now has 18 apartments and four restored guesthouses in a traditional Saxon village.
