Maxi Toys, one of the largest toy retailers in Europe, has opened a new store in the Promenada shopping center, in Bucharest. It is the company’s fourth local store, and it covers 250 sqm.

The distributor Nicoro Trading operates the network through franchise. It plans to open 40 Maxi Toys stores in Romania by 2020, and expand the network in the region, reports local Wall-street.ro.

Nicoro Trading currently owns the franchise rights for Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Hungary. It wants to create a distribution center of the Maxi Toys products for these countries.

Nicoro Trading estimates a turnover of EUR 1.5 million for the Maxi Toys stores this year.
