Traffic at Bucharest airports up in the first eight months
Air traffic at the two airports in Bucharest increased by 7.5% in the first eight months of this year, amounting to 5.5 million passengers, according to Valentin Iordache, director of communications and public relations at the Bucharest Airports National Company, cited by local Mediafax.
About 7.6 million passengers transited Bucharest’s two airports – Otopeni (Henri Coanda) and Baneasa (Aurel Vlaicu) –in 2013, up 1.3%, while the number of aircraft movements, which includes both landings and takeoffs, amounted to over 95,900.
In total, 37 airlines operate at the Henri Coanda airport, carrying passengers to 87 destinations.
