Transgaz increases natural gas transport tariffs
The transport tariff for natural gas will increase by 10 percent starting July 1st, from RON 7.5/MWh, to RON 8.25/MWh, according to Transgaz Medias, which operates the national gas transport system, quoted by Mediafax. The price hike is due to the need to recover a difference in revenues between those approved by the National Energy Regulation Authority and the revenues realized between July 2008 and June 2009.
The acquisition price for natural gas from the internal production is set to reach RON 49/MWh, which is also 10 percent higher than in the last quarter of last year.
Transgaz is a state-owned company, through the Economy Ministry.
