British journalists from Travel Channel, one of the best-known television channels specialized on travel and leisure in the world, have arrived to Romania where they will film a new eight-episode documentary named Flavors of Romania.

Charlie Ottley and his team made a first stop in Oltenia region, Southwestern Romania, where they are filming the first episode, reports local Digi24. The first location they visited was the small museum of local handmade carpets from the town of Bechet.

The British journalists plan to travel 1,500 km every week, as they want to cover a total of 10,000 km by the end of the trip.

"We have eight episodes, we’re looking for any historical region of Romania that celebrates the people, culture, food, traditions, music, landscapes, all the beauties of Romania," said Charlie Ottley.

After Oltenia, the Travel Channel journalists will also stop in Muntenia, Dobrogea, Ardeal, Moldova, and Maramures regions.

British journalist Charlie Ottley is a fan of Romania and has produced the Wild Carpathia documentary series, which promotes Romania's most beautiful places.
