The Truffle Season Opening event in Romania will take place in the forests of Buzau, on June 11, starting 11:00 hours, being organized by Mobile Cooking Romania and TravelBuzau.com.

The truffle opening event will start with an introduction into the world of truffles and a truffle hunting session with professional hunters, and will continue with tasting of wines from Dealu Mare and regional produce of Buzau. During the event, a cooking show will be held by two well-known chefs in Romania, Horia Virlan and Jakob Hausmann, who will prepare traditional and international meals with truffles.

This event is trying to combine culinary treasures and traditions of the Carpathian garden with spectacular places in Romania, and represents the start into the truffle hunting season which lasts from June to February.

The entry fee to the event is RON 250, which includes truffle hunting, the cooking show, wine and food. The number of places for this event is limited.
