Turkish Ekol buys Romanian logistics company Omega Ro, plans EUR 10 mln investments
Turkish logistics company Ekol has acquired Romanian company Omega Ro and entered the Romanian market, where it plans to invest EUR 10 million in the next five years, it has announced. The Romanian company posted a turnover of EUR 2 million last year and Ekol hopes to increase it by 70 percent in the next two years.
The Romanian market entry allowed Ekol to introduce an intermodal railway route Mannheim-Arad and the Arad – Istanbul route.
Ekol Romania currently owns a 6,000 sqm warehouse, out of a total 10,000 sqm at the European level.
