Turkish fashion retailer ups sales by 81% in Romania
Turkish fashion retailer LC Waikiki sold clothes and accessories of EUR 27.5 million in Romania last year, up by 81% compared to 2014.
The company opened five new stores in 2015, and it currently owns 16 shops in the country.
The retailer estimates an advance of 50% in sales for this year and plans to open six new stores, two of them in Bucharest. Opening a new store requires an investment of EUR 1.5 million, according to LC Waikiki.
The Romanian market has a big potential, and the company could open up to 40 stores by 2023, reads the press release.
The group has about 600 shops in 28 countries and aims to become the third biggest fashion retailer in Europe.
