Two Dutch companies consider relocation from Poland to Romania
Two Dutch companies would like to move their headquarters from Poland to Romania, according to Kees Kuijken, vice-president of the Dutch-Romanian Network. Dutch companies' interest in Romania hasn't been affected by the delay in including Romania in the Schengen area, said Kuijken. He didn't mention the names of the two companies that have a relocation to Romania in mind.
“Everyone likes to stay here, companies have established an emotional connection to Romania. This is why we support Romania's entry into Schengen by inviting Dutch people and companies here to see what the situation is,” said Richard Reese, executive director of the Romanian-Dutch Chamber of Commerce.
153 Dutch-owned companies were established in Romania in the last 12 months, according to Reese. Most of the investments went into ship building, followed by the food industry, chemical companies, logistics and banks and financing.
