Two Romanians aged 32 and 21 were arrested on Wednesday, October 28, on the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca for drug possession. They were carrying more than 11 kg of hashish.

The Romanians’ body search resulted in the seizure of 11.4 kg of hashish, which the two hid in their underwear, according to the Directorate General for National Security (DGSN), cited by Aujourd'hui Le Maroc. The two were passing through the airport in Casablanca, on their way to Madrid, Spain.

They were placed under arrest, the investigation being supervised by the public prosecutor. According to DGSN, this operation is part of the General Directorate of National Security’s efforts to fight against crime, especially the international drug trade.
