Two Romanians find 21 unexploded grenades during agricultural work
Two residents of Gherghita commune, Prahova county, found a total of 21 unexploded defensive grenades while carrying out spring agricultural work.
One of them found 17 unexploded grenades from the World War II period in his garden, on Thursday, according to Raluca Vasiloae, spokesperson of Prahova Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU Prahova), reports local Agerpres.
The discovery was made less than a day after another resident of the same commune found four other similar grenades on a field.
The pyrotechnic team of ISU Prahova took the ammunition and stored it for destruction.
