Two Romanians try to break world record for longest phone call

09 July 2014

Two Romanians, Alin Popa and Andreea Dragoi, protagonists of the new Vodafone RED advertising campaign, are currently trying to break the Guinness World Records for the longest phone call. In order to break the record, the two have to speak on the phone for at least 54 hours and 5 minutes.

Alin and Andreea have already been on the phone for over 23 hours and they should continue speaking for at least another 31 hours. Their phone call started on July 8 at 13,00. During the event, the two are each staying in a Vodafone shop in Bucharest and Timisoara, their residence cities.

As time passes, the two Romanians are trying to find more topics for discussion, such as locations they would like to travel to, or food they’d like to eat, they invent stories, do physical exercises and do their best to try to break the record.

Those who want to see Alin and Andreea, encourage them or give them more topics for discussion can do so following this link, where their conversation is streamed online. They receive in real-time the messages sent by viewers, as well as conversation topics.
