Two street segments downtown Bucharest become one-way routes on Friday morning
Two important streets downtown Bucharest will become one way streets on Friday morning, September 12.
Calea Dorobantilor will become a one way street between the Stefan cel Mare boulevard and the Dacia boulevard and it will only have a lane for public transport on the from Dacia Blvd to Stefan cel Mare boulevard, where car traffic is no longer allowed.
The other street where a one way traffic rule will be implemented is the Polona street, from Mihai Eminescu street to Stefan cel Mare boulevard. Both these streets are close to the Romana Square.
The new rule only affects these segments of the two downtown streets, and traffic will stay the same for the rest of the streets.
The capital City Hall has made these changes to improve traffic downtown Bucharest, and plans to make similar changes, also by introducing dedicated public transport lanes, to reduce travel time by public transport.
