Two Viennese orchestras start Christmas tours in Romania
Viennese Strauss Festival Orchestra will start new tour in Romania for its "Vienna Classic Christmas" show, with a concert in Timisoara, on December 11. This is the sixth year when the orchestra tours Romania with a Christmas concert.
The orchestra, which is conducted by Willy Buchler, will have concerts in Oradea (on December 12), Cluj-Napoca (Dec. 13), Suceava (Dec. 14), Iasi (Dec. 15 and 16), Brasov (Dec. 17), Bacau (Dec. 18), and Constanta (Dec. 19). The tour will end with two concerts in Bucharest, at the Sala Palatului concert hall, on December 20 and 21.
Romanian soprano Leontina Vaduva and tenor Robert Nagy will be special guests of the concerts in Bucharest. Tickets can still be bought on www.iabilet.ro.
The Johann Strauss Ensemble, another Austrian classical music group, will also tour Romania between December 11 and December 19. This is the ensemble’s 10 years anniversary tour to Romania and is titled "Best of Vienna".
The ensemble will start its tour in Oradea, on December 11, and continue in Arad (Dec. 12), Timisoara (Dec. 13), Cluj-Napoca (Dec. 14), Targu Mures (Dec. 15), Brasov (Dec. 16). On December 17, the Johann Strauss Ensemble will have a concert in Bucharest, at Sala Palatului. Two more concerts are programmed in Medias (Dec. 18) and Sibiu (Dec. 19).
Romanian artist Adrian Naidin will be the special guest of the orchestra’s Christmas concert in Bucharest. Tickets still available on www.bilet.ro.
