Uber’s new Comfort service is also available in Romania starting Tuesday, July 21, the company announced.

Thus, in addition to UberX, Uber Select and Green, riders in Bucharest, Timisoara, Brasov, and Iasi can also choose the “Comfort” option in the Uber app and order trips in comfortable cars with extra legroom and with top-rated, experienced drivers.

Also, riders can indicate in the app their preferences when it comes to the ride: they can choose from three temperature options, and specify in advance whether they prefer to ride in silence or chat. Moreover, the driver waits for up to ten minutes at the pick-up point “for a small surcharge,” Uber said.

The Uber Comfort rides cost approximately an extra 20% than the usual UberX trips. 

As for all Uber services in Romania, both drivers and riders are required to wear masks during the ride and confirm that they have taken sanitary precautions before starting the trip.
