UEFA's best player Andres Iniesta launches wine products on the Romanian market
Romania's biggest wine importer, Lerida International, has announced the arrival on the local market of Spanish wine producer Bodega Iniesta, estimating sales of 50,000 bottles of wine for this year. Bodega Iniesta is run by Spanish football player Andres Iniesta, who was named player of the tournament by the UEFA in Euro 2012 competition.
"We expect this new product to reach number one for Spanish wine sales in Romania. For the first year, Lerida's objective is to sell at least 50,000 bottles of wine from Andrés Iniesta," adds Bogdan Ciocoveanu.
Bodega Iniesta was established in the 90s with a ten hectare vineyard in Fuentealbilla, near Valencia, Spain, by José Antonio Iniesta, Andres Iniesta's father. In the following years the Iniesta family extended the vineyard and in 2010 they finished the bodega, allowing the whole process from grape to bottle to be managed in situ.
Lerida International is the biggest importer and distributor of wine and liquor in Romania and was established in 1993 by the Ion Matei family. The company now has a 400 varieties of wine from different countries.
