Unions: Romanian Lottery could be privatized, after rebranding
The state-owned Romanian Lottery could be re-branded before privatization, similarly to what happened with Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR) and Petrom, said Calin Orlando Cocis, the executive chairman of the Free Union within the Romanian Lottery, reports local Economica.net.
The Austrian Group Novomatic, the Lottery's new partner, would like to rebrand the Lottery according to its own brand, Cocis said.
"I'm afraid something similar to Petrom's and BCR's rebranding before privatization might happen. The gas stations were made yellow-blue, then Petrom was privatized and basically it was an expenditure carried out by the state and taken over by someone else. The same with BCR," said Cocis.
There is already one agency rebranded in Novomatic's colors, according to Cocis.
