Unions: Salaries in Romania's health sector should increase by a quarter
The Romanian Doctors’ Union Federation Sanitas has asked the Government to increase the salaries in the public healthcare sector by 25% in 2016, according to the negotiations from last year.
The salaries already rose by a quarter on October 1, 2015, through an emergency ordinance. The unions are now expecting the second growth of 25%, reports local Mediafax.
In December last year, the Health Minister Patriciu Achimas-Cadariu said that the medical staff salaries should match their training, and that the last year’s wage increase was just the first step.
