Single account in plan for paying fines in Romania
Contravention fines payment will be centralized and will be done to a single account, and a system connected to the Interior Ministry is also planned, according to Romanian Minister of Finance Darius Valcov. The minister admits that there are many cases in which local treasuries imputed amounts already paid, reports local Mediafax.
Valcov pointed out that there are deficiencies in keeping track of the payment of fines, whose recovery is now the responsibility of local authorities. Creating a single payment account and centralizing payments would help avoid situations in which taxpayers are forced to pay the same amount several times.
