UPC Romania sees 13% growth in number of Internet users
Cable & internet provider UPC Romania has continued to see increases in the number of customers on all business lines in the first quarter of the year, according to data published by the company’s majority owner, American group Liberty Global.
The number of customers on the landline internet segment rose by 56,600 or 13%, compared to the first quarter of 2015, to 500,600 subscriptions whereas the number of users on the landline phone segment went up by 33% year-on-year to 415,600.
The number of TV cable users increased by 4% to 888,900, whereas the TV satellite customers advanced by 9% to 345,600. In total, the number of TV customers increased by 5% to 1.2 million subscriptions.
The number of households covered by the UPC network rose by 231,500 to 2.6 million.
