Update: Weather conditions for transport in Romania, national roads closed in several counties
Several counties are under a yellow weather code and some national roads are closed because of the blizzards and snow. Elsewhere, wintry conditions are making driving difficult and road users should take extra care.
According to the Romanian Police Infotrafic Center, the roads that are currently closed are DN11 Podu Turcului (Bacau) - Barlad (Vaslui), DN24B Huşi - Albita (Vaslui), DN24C Radauti-Prut - Manoleasa (Botosani), DN26 Murgeni - Ganesti (Vaslui), DN29 Botosani - Manoleasa (Botosani) DN2F Dragomireşti - Bleşca (Vaslui) and DN2N Bogza - Dumbrăveni (Vrancea).
This morning in Iasi county, the authorities announced that 15 roads were blocked: Ciorteşti-Dolhesti, Bohotin - Grozeşti, Horleşti - Bogonos - Leţcani, Budeşti - Mironeasa Scanteia - Ipatele - Tansa, Şipote - hospital occupational therapy, Vlădeni - Plugari, Boroşoaia - Plugari, Mircesti - Bridge scaffolding, DN2 - Ciohorani, DN2 - Cristeşti, Sticlaria- Sireţel - Lespezi Blagesti - Criveşti - Vanatori, Pascani - Mirosloveşti and Lespezi - Vanatori.
So far, no disruptions of flights or rail services have been announced.
