Vienna trams will include carriage bodies made in Romania, as the Bucharest Transport Company (RATB) and Siemens Austria have signed a production contract. The carriage bodies will be produced by RATB in its factory. The first batch will be delivered in the summer of 2011. The RATB factory employs 1,200 and has started working on orders for foreign companies.

The value of the contract with Siemens has not been disclosed, but the contract will most likely be extended after the delivery of the first batch of products.
