Telecom company Vodafone has launched the new Nexus S phone in Romania, the first phone which features the latest version of the Android platform for mobile, known as Gingerbread (Android 2.3). The telephone was co-developed by Samsung and Google.  In Romania, Nexus S sells for prices starting at EUR 149 and can be purchased in Vodafone stores, on its partner stores and on the Vodafone online shop. The phone costs EUR 535 without a Vodafone subscription.

The phone offers SuperLCD first curved design of the screen with WVGA resolution 480x800, along with a 5 megapixel camera and 16GB internal memory. More details about the phone, here. The phone sells for USD 199 in the US.

Vodafone Romania, a subsidiary of Vodafone Group Plc., had 9.8 million customers at the end of December last year.
