Vodafone reports lower service revenues in last quarter of 2012 in Romania
Telecom operator Vodafone Romania had service revenues of GBP 143 million (some EUR 177 million) in the quarter ended on December 31, 2012, according to the company. In the same period of 2011, Vodafone Romania’s service revenues were GBP 167 million.
Between July and September last year, the telecom operator’s service revenues in Romania were GBP 146 million.
Vodafone Romania increased its number of customers by some 248,000 in the last three months of 2012, to a total of 8.12 million, of which almost 60 percent were prepaid customers. On October 1, 2012, the telecom operator had 7.8 million customers in Romania. Full report here.
The revenues of telecom operator Vodafone Romania were down 5.2 percent between April and September in 2012, the first half of the company’s 2012-2013 financial year. Vodafone had revenues of GBP 311 million (some EUR 387 million) in Romania, where the drop was mainly caused by the decrease in interconnection tariffs, according to the operator.
Vodafone launched 4G services in Romania in November last year.
