Pop-rock group Voltaj to represent Romania in Eurovision song competition in Vienna

Romanian pop-rock band Voltaj will represent Romania in the Eurovision 2015 song contest, in Vienna. Voltaj won the national selection in Romania, on Sunday, March 9.

Their song is called “De la capat” (Start over) is about reuniting children in Romania with their parents who are working abroad. The song is in Romanian.

Voltaj won the public voting, as well as the jury’s vote.

Voltaj launched in 1982 but has been performing in the current line-up since 1998. The band’s lead singer is Calin Goia. They have nine albums and many top hits in Romania.
