After sunny and warm weather in Romania on election weekend, the weather will get cold in Romania starting Monday, 16:00, according to meteorologists.

It will rain in the center, south and east parts of the country, with the rain expected to turn into snow once the temperatures start to drop. Moreover, for the mountain areas, the meteorologists forecast snow.

The wind will also blow strongly in most regions. In the mountains, the wind is expected to blow with 80-90 km per hour, while in Moldova, Dobrogea and Muntenia (including Bucharest) areas, the wind will blow with 50-60 km per hour.

The temperatures will also drop. It will get really cold on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, when the minimum temperatures will go below minus 10 degrees Celsius, especially in the Northern, North-Eastern, and central regions of the country.

The warning from the National Meteorology Administration (ANM) is valid until Tuesday, December 13, 14:00.
